Stay Focused
I want you to know that regardless of what the plan is, speed should never be part of the equation. You want quality. Be quality. Acknowledge you as such. You want to be patient so you can stay focused on the mission at hand. Know what you want and have a few guiding steps, keys, and even know more than one way of doing it. You want to give yourself the very best. Knowing more than one way gives you the ability to have a second option.
It is always good to seek a second option because it will lessen room for mistakes later. It helps you to understand exactly which path to journey, and how much you desire to see it to completion. Take time to know. Understand the why and the how, but focus on the how. The why will slow you down and the how will always lead to guidance or solutions.
You must exercise self-confidence. You must have room for mental adjustment and emotional management. What are your tools? How well do you know your tools? What is the one habit you would like to ditch that may be generating a doubtful mindset? What is it? How do you inspire yourself past the moment? Past a challenge or a past, you have been wanting to let go?
Know this, you must construct your path. How are you getting there? Have you mapped it out? Have you looked far ahead for some hindrance, so you are best equipped to get through? For example, if you are starting a business, do you know and understand your brand, your products, your customers, and the demographics or geographics? Do you have room for change and adjustment? The energy I encourage you to have is to know how much you want it. Ask yourself, how much do you want it?
Jump! Jump as I did during my first airborne jump out of a c17 – my very first jump as an active-duty soldier. I was fearful – terrified! I was the last in my class that year, but I was also the first. I wanted to graduate airborne school so bad that I jumped. I jumped and nothing happened.
All the fear was just doubt. I was equipped but I still doubted myself and that robbed me of my confidence. Once I jumped, it took away all the fears. Gone. I will jump again. So, jump into that dream. Jump into that dedication and creativity, encouraging your work ethic. Discipline is key. Know it.
